Reflecting on Earth Day April 23, 2010

Yesterday we did our best to go paperless and live green.  I have to admit that I think we did a pretty good job.  I had to think a few times about how to cut back and avoid using paper, but we did it!  Review the list of ways we saved paper on the whiteboard.  What did you like the best?  Which one or ones would be easy to do everyday?  Can you think of other ways that we can save paper at school?

Emailing lunch count and attedance is something we could do everyday as a class, I also thought that they were all things we could do easily every day. I can’t think of any other things that we could do. The best thing was we saved the earth.:)

I like how you turned a worksheet into an on-line assignment:) I think we could always use the computer not paper to do work and assignments:) :)

I like how you turned a worksheet into an online assignment instead of using 20 pieces of paper. I think emailing the lunch/attendance count would be easiest to do each day. It would save alot of paper. We could save more paper at school by turning more worksheets into online activities. Or by recyling paper that we have extras of or old worksheeets.

I thought it was a really good idea and I also thought it was really fun! My favorite thing that we did yesterday was Mrs.Hayter copied our language poem on the Smart Board instead of a peice of paper.

I liked it the best when you used the envelops for scratch paper! I think I’ll try that! :)

I think the easiest is use a paper clip for a bookmark in stead of paper.

I am trying to think of ways to reuse common items before I just toss them in the trash.

  20. mhayter Says:

I wish we did attendance electronically too!

It takes a little more time, but it saves paper and I think it is more fun to do activities on-line whenever we can.
