Tomorrow we begin grade-level assessments as required by the state of Missouri. This task is designed to help schools identify the knowledge and skills of their students. What questions, concerns, or comments do you have or would you like to make about these assessments. Please post a comment before going to recess today. We will discuss these before going home.

I am really excited to begin our testing. I think that you will find it much less stressful since we will only be testing around an hour a day. There will be different types of testing questions, some will be multiple choice or constructed response. In addition, each test (Communication Arts and Math) will have one performance event. You are going to do awesome! Remember to get a good night’s sleep tonight, eat a good breakfast, and come to school tomorrow with a positive attitude.
Will the younger kids chant for us again this year?
Of course! They will give you a big send off today!!!
I would rather take a spelling test then the MAP test.I dont like the MAP test it is Boring.:(:(:(
I can wait for map testing, because it is so hard.
How many parts of the MAP test are timed ?
I thought that we did MAP all morning like last year. How many days will we be doing MAP?
Only one part is timed. We will take the timed session on Wednesday.
How much time will you get?
Why does this score you get on the map test not go on your grade card?
Try not to think of it as hard. I am sure that there will be some questions that will be easier than others.
Fortunately, we only take the MAP once a year! Try to have a positive attitude and be sure to have a good book handy to read when you finish.
Will we just stay at our normal seats for MAP?
Will the test be longer than 3rd grades MAP test.
I have a question . If u stay to long in the bathroom and we r still map testing and u r coming back will u let me in ?
I’m excited to get the test done and over with!! Wil we have homework while during MAP testing?? My mom doesn’t think that it would be fair to have homework during the test.:)
Are the kindergardners or 1st graders be sending us the note with the candy on it this year?
I wish Map testing was only four days like last year.
The map test is not going to be fun
How many questions are timed on the MAP test.
I can’t wait untill map test is over
Don’t worry. Just relax and show what you know! We will all be glad when it is over.
I can’t wait till map test is over.
I am not sure how many specific questions, but just one section is timed.
Think positive. It may not be as fun as recess, but aren’t you eager to show what you know?
I think you might like having it spread out. I don’t think you will get as tired and I am hoping to see some great scores!
I don’t know what exactly Mrs. Woods’ class has planned. I bet they do something to encourage us. Have you seen the banner out in the hallway?
There will be some homework. Probably in math. I don’t think the testing will be as long or as exhausting as it was last year. You will do fine!
I promise not to leave anyone in the bathroom!
Around an hour a day. Much less than last year.
About an hour each day.
I don’t think so. About the same.
Yes.
I don’t think it will be as bad as you expect. Try to have a positive outlook!
I don’t think so. It is probably about the same.
We will spend three mornings this week doing the Communication Arts MAP assessment and three mornings next week doing the Math MAP assessment. That is a total of six days!
One session of each test is timed.
The score is not used as a grade, but lets us know how well you have mastered the skills and knowledge that you have been taught. It is kind of confusing.
